The educational content of this material is based on the LOGICAL and SEQUENTIAL ASSOCIATION
of each series of 3 photographs. The objects, people and situations shown
in the photographs are easy for the child to identify and name, and their purpose easy
to determine. The series recreate everyday situations and experiences,
close to the environment in which the child grows up, and allow the child to become
aware of the FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIP that links them. It is also an excellent
way to support LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT and the use of the VERBS corresponding
to the actions shown in the photograph series.
The “before-in-between-after” association develops an internal mental process that allows the
child to establish a sequential relationship in time and to discover the logical and
temporal order in which things follow one another (SPATIO-TEMPORAL REASONING).

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES:

- Development and assimilation of basic vocabulary.
- Development of logical thinking and spatio-temporal reasoning.
- Acquisition of the ability to relate objects from a
functional point of view.
- Internalisation of the sequential order of things.
- Introduction to working on abstract thinking (serves as a basis for establishing mental
relationships and for the first steps in the transition from concrete to abstract
thinking).
- Development of observation, both of the objects and their

characteristics and of their functions.
- Learning to make assumptions and explanations about possible relationships
between the objects.
- Improvement of psychomotor coordination by handling the cards and
connecting them correctly.
