EDUCATIONAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL FEATURES

This teaching material is built on the LOGICAL ASSOCIATION of the objects shown on the
cards, which are easy to identify, name, match and describe, helping the child become aware of
the FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIP between the two objects that make up each pair. It is
also an excellent way to support LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
A matching game for learning the basic concepts of early childhood education, while
working on various aspects of a child's psychological development:
- Associating objects through their logical relationship.
- Observation, reflection and logical thinking.
- Building vocabulary related to familiar, everyday items.
- Attention span and observation skills from the earliest age.
- Developing observation, whether of objects and their characteristics or
of their functions.
- Learning to make assumptions and explain possible relationships between
objects.
- Hand-eye coordination through handling the cards.
HOW TO PLAY AND TIPS FOR USE:
The set consists of 24 cards offering the child different types of associations:

1) Look at the picture on the left of the card (coloured background).
2) Choose a match from the 3 options shown alongside it on the
same card.
3) Slide the plastic frame to surround the chosen option,
selecting the frame containing the object related to the one shown in
the first frame.
4) Check whether the answer is correct using a simple self-correction system on the
back: if the child got it right, they will see the circle fully coloured in.
To make the game easier to run, we recommend that an adult insert the
plastic frames onto the cards before handing them out.
The first frame of each card has a different coloured background. Dividing
the 24 cards into 4 colours makes it easier for the teacher to distribute them among
several pupils. There is no difference in terms of content or difficulty.
ACTIVITIES:
ASSOCIATION
- On each card, look for the object or objects related to the object
shown in the first frame.
LANGUAGE
- Describing the objects shown on the cards: colour, shape, use, etc.
- Making short sentences linking the associated objects. For example: “the
cow gives milk”, “the hen lays eggs”, “watercolours are painted with
brushes”, etc.
