Stereognostic bag

PRESENTATION OF THE MATERIAL:

A truly one-of-a-kind bag. Inside the single bag there are small wooden objects in pairs:

there are ten small solids:

- two small balls - two cuboids

- two small cubes - two long cuboids

- two small cylinders - two flat cuboids

- two small triangular prisms - two ovoids

- two triangular prisms

PRESENTATION:

Take the bag, put your hand inside, and say what shape you feel, for example: “It's round.”

Ask the child: “What do you have in your bag?” Reach in and pull out the solid you found. “I have a ball, can you take out the ball too?” Tell the child it's their turn. For each shape pulled out, place it on the table. Continue this way, each taking out a solid in turn.

There are several variations on this game (discovering the shapes, naming them, etc.).
