Premium Sensorial Land and Water Globe

PRESENTATION OF THE MATERIAL:

• 2 globes representing the earth: one where the continents are rough (yellow or white depending on the stock), the other where the continents are in different colours.
• 1 cabinet with a series of puzzles:
• 1 planisphere, a flat representation of the world map where the continents are in different colours, with a ball cut in two
• 6 puzzles of the six continents where the countries are in different colours (the knobs of the pieces represent the capitals)
• 1 puzzle representing the European continent
• 1 representing the Asian continent
• 1 the African continent
• 1 the North American continent and Central America
• 1 representing Oceania
• The flags of the various European countries

PRESENTATION:

1. offer to present the globe to the child and invite him to wash his hands (at the institute, use the bowl filled with water)
2. take the globe and place it on the table
3. remove the sphere from the base, hold it in your hands and ask the child if he knows what it is
4. name it for him: it is the representation of the earth
5. touch the rough and the smooth
6. give the globe to the child so that he too can stroke the rough and the smooth
7. take back the sphere and touch the continents (the rough), then give it back to the child, invite him to touch the rough as well and name it: "the land". The child repeats.
8. do the same for the sea: touch the smooth, name it: the sea, give the sphere to the child,
9. have him touch the smooth and have him name the sea
10. do a three-period lesson on land/sea
