Premium Binomial Cube

PRESENTATION OF THE MATERIAL:

- a box that opens on two hinged doors

- eight rectangular blocks which, stacked in two layers, form a cube whose formula is (a+b)³: a³+3a²b+3ab²+b³

- a red square with 4 cm edges

- three rectangular blocks 3 cm high and 4 cm wide

- three rectangular blocks 4 cm high and 3 cm wide

- a cube with 3 cm edges

PRESENTATION:

- go with the child to the shelf and sit down together at a table. Tell them the name of the activity

- remove the lid, open the two hinged doors of the box and take out the solids one by one, placing them on the table "by layer"

- once all the solids are out, rebuild the cube layer by layer

- when the child can do it very well, take out the solids in a mixed order and then rebuild the cube layer by layer

- when the child is very comfortable and rebuilds the cube without difficulty this way, suggest rebuilding the cube by first placing everything related to "a", then everything related to "b" and finally everything related to "c"

Another time, suggest that the child rebuild the cube outside the box, on the table.
