A wooden tabletop farm, with a barn, pens, a grain silo, a kennel, a water trough and various animals: horses, cows, geese, ducks, hens, pigs, goats, sheep, along with a farmer's wife and a farmer.
PRESENTATION:
Offer to introduce the farm to the child.
sit at a table with the child and place the farm on the table with only a few animals, for example some hens, a goose, two or three cows, a horse, a pig, the dog, and the farmer and farmer's wife together.
ask the child whether they have ever seen a farm, whether they know the names of the animals and of the various buildings shown.
explain what a silo is for (to store grain to feed the animals), what the dog's house is called, the place where the cows take shelter. Introduce, if not the first time then the next, the masculine and feminine forms of an animal (bull/cow, boar/sow, gander/goose, hen/rooster...).
