Division Memorization Charts

PRESENTATION OF THE MATERIAL:

(boards without frames).

There are two boards for memorisation and
The first memorisation board:

• a board with all the exact dividends and the results
• 1 tray holding a basket with all the combinations, paper and a pencil

The second memorisation board:

• a board with all the exact dividends without the results
• 1 tray on which there is a blue box with the division sign holding the answer tokens for the combinations (white background and blue writing)

PRESENTATION:

The first board:

1. fetch the material with the child
2. tell the child the name of the activity
3. invite the child to draw a combination and write it on the paper
4. read the result on the board and write it on the paper
5. invite the child to draw another combination
6. continue in this way for all the other combinations

The second board:

1. fetch the material with the child
2. tell the child that this is the second division memorisation board
3. open the box and arrange the answer tokens in order
4. invite the child to draw a combination
5. take the result and place the answer token on the board

At this stage the child knows the tables; if certain results are forgotten, the control board is there as a help.
